Blood is one of my favorite albums, and I played it on repeat during the COVID-19 quarantine. As Kelsey Lu said herself, “Blood is a recognition of the Pain, the Horror and the Beauty of finding the ability to observe it all in order to move through it.” I interpret Blood to be ultimately a hopeful piece of work, as the flower on the poster shows.
