Submarine by The Marías is easily one of my favorite albums of all time, and I used the motif of a whirlpool to create a tshirt design that nodded to the album title and the feeling of spiraling. The line “Your tshirt’s still on my back” from the song “Echo” stood out to me, so I leaned into that connection with the medium of tshirt design.
